I take up the old straw before I put the new down? Top
- No. Straw disintegrates
much quicker on bare dirt than on old straw.

should I do about weeds in my beds?

- Our recommendation
would be to cut the weeds down low with a weed eater then spray them
with a weed killer (roundup,etc). Between the loss of sunlight with
the straw application and the weed killer you should have good results.

type of straw do you sell?

- There are basically
three types of straw available:
Loblolly (short needle)
Slash (long needle)
Long-leaf (super long-needle)
- Loblolly straw
is not very good in color and breaks down quickly.
- Slash has good
color and last longer. 99% of the straw used in Metro Atlanta
is slash.
- Long-leaf is the
premium straw but unfortunately is just not available in large quantities.

you deliver the straw where do you put it? Top
- We will put the
bales basically anywhere you would like, as long as we can get our
truck within 15 feet. Most deliveries are dropped off either
at the end of the driveway or in a pine island in the front yard.

you participate in fund raising events?

- YES! We would
be delighted to work with your non-profit organization to help you
raise money. We have participated with churches, schools, bands, and
athletic teams in our delivery
